Reclaimed teak and glass, hand-assembled:

• Frame: reclaimed teak, handmade
• Sides: four glass panes fitted into grooves, no putty
• Handle: pivoting, attached with two exposed screws, identical size for both formats
• Base: raised on a darker plinth
• Appearance: drying cracks, filled peg holes, and color variations characteristic of reclaimed wood

A teak frame with irregular uprights and four clear glass panes: the lantern retains the simple look of a garden object and the warmth of wood. At the foot of a whitewashed wall, on gravel, or by a pool, it extends the evening outdoors; inside, it warms up an entryway or a corner of the living room. The two heights combined create a duo that plays with levels.

What you need to know for its use and maintenance:

• Usage: indoor and outdoor, according to the manufacturer
• Candle: in a small dish, flame away from the wooden supports
• Transport: by the handle, with one hand, for a few meters only
• Outdoor: teak turns gray if left outside, bring the lantern inside off-season to maintain its color
• Glass panes: soft cloth, without any product that could drip into the grooves
• Base: empty of cooled wax before it becomes embedded
