Ribbed chestnut red blown glass vase

Crafted using the ancestral technique of mouth-blowing, this vase bears the invisible yet very real imprint of the glassblower's hand. The smooth vertical ribsthat structure the body, the slightly pinched neck, and the irregular scalloped rimare all details that reveal entirely manual manufacturing. The translucent chestnut redhue, obtained by adding metal oxides to the molten glass, ensures a stable, luminous, and deep color throughout the thickness, depending on the viewing angle.

Its generous ovoid silhouettewith balanced proportions and regular vertical ribs are part of the great tradition of European art glass. The chestnut red hue, both warm and dramatic, stands out in colorblock interiors, burgundy and terracotta décors, velvet and brass atmospheres, as well as in an all-white interior where it plays the role of the sole splash of color.
