The tray is crafted from natural river stone, primarily granitic and metamorphic rocks with visible minerals, the surface of which has been polished by water for millennia before being hand-finished. The bottom is slightly hollowed out to create a discreet containing space, while the rim retains the rock's native irregularity. The raw, scalloped edge reveals the stone's cut in all its authenticity. No surface treatment or artificial smoothing: the material presents itself exactly as it was found.
