What this tray is made of:

• Materials: bamboo, MDF and capiz shell
• Base: mosaic of capiz cut into petals, arranged in a rosette from the center
• Rim: capiz tiles on the inside and along the edge
• Outer wall: finely striated bamboo
• Appearance: iridescent, with each fragment reflecting light differently
• Color: beige

The rosette is more of a piece of marquetry than a serving accessory, which is what allows it to remain in place once the table is cleared. Its iridescent cream tones harmonize with matte stoneware, smoked glass, and light woods, adding warmth to a dark tabletop. On a coffee table, it brings three mismatched objects together into a single composition; on an entryway console, it becomes the most refined catch-all in the house.

Everyday ways to use it:

• Group a vase, a candle, and a small object on it rather than an entire service set
• The low rim keeps items in place and frames the arrangement
• As a dining table centerpiece, it leaves room for plates around it
• On a console table, it acts as a catch-all tray
• Reserved for dry use only: the base is a shell mosaic
