What makes this terrarium unique, and why no two are ever alike:

The glassblower pours the molten material directly onto the pre-shaped raw teak root. The incandescent glass conforms to every hollow and relief before solidifying, creating a joint without glue or fixings. Each piece is therefore unique: the shape of the root, the height of the glass, the exact dimensions, and the shades of color vary from one piece to another.

The clear mouth-blown glass bowl has a slight natural blue-green tint, characteristic of handcrafted glass made with a blowpipe. Its slightly irregular walls and transparency create reflections that change with the light. The teak root used as a base is raw and untreated: its knots, hollows, and branches are exactly as nature formed them. The glass is held in place by its very shape, molded directly onto the root, without adhesive or hardware.

Several ways to display it, depending on the season:

• As a terrarium: substrate, decorative stones, and succulents or cacti for a living mini garden
• As a vase: a few short cut flowers or flowering branches in a little water
• In a decorative bowl: seasonal fruits, nuts, candies, or pebbles
