A single material, handcrafted:

• Material: solid brass, treated against wear and corrosion
• Manufacturing: forged and shaped by hand, each hanger varies slightly in shade and surface finish
• Shape: a single rod bent into a triangle, closed around the hook stem, rounded shoulder angles
• Hook: open crook style
• Hue: muted gold, closer to bronze than gold, lighter on the rounded edges

An open wardrobe is judged by its hangers before it is judged by what is hanging on them. A row of identical brass hangers gives a garment rack the look of a display case, and their muted gold tone warms up a light-colored bedroom, entryway, or dressing room. Their slim silhouette pairs as well with raw wood, linen, and woven fibers as it does with a more classic interior.

To use it properly and maintain its patina:

• Uses: shirts, blouses, and jackets, on an open closet or garment rack
• Width: choose according to the garment; a hanger that is too short will deform a jacket shoulder
• Humidity: never hang a garment that is still damp on it
• Closet: air it out; in a humid room, the brass may mark light-colored fabric
• Cleaning: soft, dry cloth
• Brass cleaner: it restores shine but removes the matte patina
