The body is made of natural travertine, a limestone sedimentary rock with high mineral density, 0.7 kg for 10 cm in height, hand-carved and shaped from a solid block. The surface is raw and naturally veined: the ivory white to warm ochre veins, the porosities, and the chromatic variations are inherent to the geological composition of travertine, without any chemical treatment. The profile with three decreasing concentric cylinders, obtained by artisanal turning, creates a play of shadows that is particularly enhanced by grazing light.
