Sumba face sculpture in natural sandstone with engraved headdress, 19 cm

Measurements to know before finding a place for it:

• Total height, base included: 19 cm
• Width: 6 cm
• Depth: 5 cm
• Weight: 0.8 kg
• Package: 10 x 10 x 20 cm

Its material and the way it is carved:

• Material: blonde sandstone, left raw from the chisel
• Color: natural
• Craftsmanship: hand-carved, each piece is unique
• Headdress: three rows of motifs incised with a flat chisel, the design of which varies from one piece to another
• Gaze: encircled eyes, hollow-drilled pupils
• Base: rod and base in black lacquered iron

Its engraved headdress and fixed gaze give it an expression, almost a personality. Alone in a niche or on a shelf, it holds its own; placed near smoother faces, it brings depth to a collection. The blonde stoneware and black iron harmonize with light-plastered walls, wood, and woven fibers, in a bohemian spirit.

Where to place it and how to maintain it:

• Where to place it: shelf, wall niche, console table or windowsill
• Stability: the weight is at the top, choose a surface that is perfectly level
• Dusting: dry, soft-bristled toothbrush, in the direction of the engraved rows
• The brush glides over the patterns without entering the hollows
• No products on this porous stone
• Indoor use
