Sumba face sculpture in natural stoneware on a base 19 cm

Key measurements to find its place:

• Total height including base: 19 cm
• Width: 6 cm
• Depth: 5 cm
• Weight: 0.65 kg
• Package: 10 x 10 x 20 cm

What gives it its texture and character:

• Material: blonde sandstone left in its raw hewn state
• Hand-carved: each statue is unique
• Granular surface, natural stone cavities preserved
• Eyes pierced all the way through, without eyelids or pupils
• Face without headdress or engraving
• Base: rod and stand in black lacquered iron

Reduced to a few lines, the sculpture reads almost like an abstract piece. Alone in a niche or on a bedside table, it provides a point of calm; grouped with other faces on a console or a shelf, it forms a small gallery. The blonde stoneware complements lime-washed walls, light wood, and natural fibers.

For installation and care:

• Placement: bedside table, desk, shelf, niche, or console table
• Some sanding dust may escape from the drill holes during the first few weeks, then it will stop
• Use a dry brush on it two or three times during this period
• Do not blow on it, as the dust will scatter everywhere
• Do not use any products on this porous stone
• Indoor use only
