Height changes everything for an openwork lampshade. Near the ceiling, the pattern of lines remains above head height and acts as a subtle decoration; lowered over a table, it falls onto the tablecloth and walls, and the light becomes a feature of the room. The cable adjusts up to two meters, so the decision is made during installation. Wide but openwork, this lampshade remains light to the eye: it covers a table without overwhelming it, which a solid lampshade of the same diameter would not allow. The same design exists flush with the ceiling, for when nothing should hang down.
