Brown terracotta pedestal fruit bowl 30 cm

Key measurements, to find its place in the center of the table:

• Diameter: 30 cm
• Height: 15 cm
• Capacity: 1.5 liters
• Weight: 5 kg
• Package: 34 x 34 x 19 cm

What gives this bowl its character:

• Material: unglazed terracotta, hand-modeled
• Shape: wide basin mounted on a flared base
• Exterior: rough, dark brown with aubergine undertones, visible traces of modeling
• Interior: smooth and polished
• Rim: finished with a bead
• Imperfections and variations in shade unique to each piece

A foot changes everything: it elevates the contents and creates a void beneath the basin, making the object appear lighter than it is. This is what distinguishes a display bowl from a simple container, and what makes it credible standing alone at the center of a large table. Its brown clay complements striped linen, raw wood, and other terracotta pieces, in a wabi-sabi spirit.

What it holds, and how to care for it:

• For fruit, decorative gourds, or a dried arrangement
• Food-safe, oven and microwave safe
• Hand wash, then dry thoroughly
• No dishwasher or harsh products: detergent leaves light marks
• Dusting: use a dry brush in the crevices of the modeling
• On a wooden tray, use a coaster or felt pad: the porous clay can leave marks
• Lift with both hands, underneath the basin, never by the rim
