A single trunk and tapered branches: the Wanaka has the silhouette of a small tree, and is as much to be looked at as it is to be used. Placed alone in an entryway corner or at the foot of a bed, it brings the warmth of honey-colored bamboo to Japandi, wabi-sabi, or bohemian interiors, alongside a green plant or a woven basket.

What you need to know for assembly and maintenance:

• Delivered as a kit: one trunk, eight hooks, and three legs that screw into the trunk
• Assemble it on a soft surface, such as a rug, to avoid scratches
• Tighten the screwed elements 2 weeks after assembly, then every 3 months
• Cleaning: damp cloth, water or mild detergent, then a clean cloth to dry
