The lampshade is open downwards: the light falls vertically on what it overlooks instead of spreading throughout the room, which makes it suitable for a table rather than a room centerpiece. Suspended 70 or 80 cm above a tabletop, it defines the table without obstructing the view between diners. It matches the Arena ceiling light of the same diameter.
