Cream enamelled stoneware oil cruet with cork stopper

Its size and capacity:

• Height: 19.5 cm
• Capacity: 100 ml
• Overall size, spout to handle: 14.5 cm
• Body diameter: 8.5 cm at the widest point
• Weight: 0.48 kg

What the cruet is made of, piece by piece:

• Material: stoneware
• Crackle glaze speckled with darker dots
• Shade and crackling unique to each piece
• Short spout angled upwards
• Rounded ring handle and wide base
• Agglomerated cork stopper included, sits flat on the neck

The silhouette is tall and narrow, closer to an antique laboratory object than a kitchen accessory. Left on the countertop between services, the cruet passes for a piece of ceramic rather than a utensil: this is exactly what is expected of it. The light tone and crackled glaze harmonize with stone countertops, raw wood boards, and matte ceramics, while the cork adds the only warm note.

What it is intended for, on a daily basis:

• Designed for olive oil as well as vinegar
• Refilled from the large bottle and stays within reach during service
• The cork stopper closes it between uses
• Stands on a worktop or a set table
