Natural raffia and seashell coaster 12 cm

Key measurements for this coaster:

• Diameter: 12 cm, including shells
• Flat base: approx. 8 cm
• Thickness: 1 cm
• Weight: 20 g
• Sold individually
• Parcel: 15 x 15 x 15 cm

What gives it its texture and depth:

• Material: natural raffia and cowrie shells
• Raffia hand-crocheted in a spiral
• Uneven stitch sizes, disc not perfectly circular
• Crown of cowrie shells sewn along the edge
• Variations in shade and stitch unique to each piece

Whether under a stoneware mug, a fluted glass, or a juice tumbler, this little sun of raffia and cowrie shells changes the look of a coffee break. It looks just as good on light marble as it does on a wooden shelf, and pairs perfectly with the woven placemats and trivet from the same line.

How to use and maintain it for a long time:

• Uses: cups, mugs and glasses, hot or cold drinks
• Indoor use
• Hold the piece with one finger when lifting a wet glass
• Wipe down a dripping glass: repeated moisture wears down the edge stitching
• Store flat, away from a wet countertop
• Dust with a soft, dry cloth or brush
