A simple, round shape, a stone that reveals its natural pores: the travertine box adds a mineral touch in very little space. It complements the light wood of a sideboard, the white of a display cabinet, or the black metal of a wall shelf, and pairs well with a round table mirror or a cream-toned vase. Closed, it decorates. Open, it stores.

Where to place it and what it stores:

• Storage: small items, kept under the lid
• Placement: indoors, on a shelf, a sideboard, or in a display cabinet
• Composition: next to a round table mirror or a vase, or on a tray
• Format: its low height allows it to fit between two closely spaced shelves
