Decorative disc with white beads and cowrie shells on a stand 24 cm

Key measurements to help you find its place:

• Disk diameter: 24 cm
• Total height on base: 30 cm
• Base depth: 7 cm
• Weight: 0.65 kg
• Package: 28 x 10 x 38 cm

What it is made of, bead by bead:

• Base: mother-of-pearl beads sewn in a spiral from the center
• Pattern: two bands of cowrie shells mounted in scales
• Effect: beige and white moiré, the direction of the rows changes with each turn
• Structure: hollow disc under its layer of beads, very lightweight
• Back: plain and dark, bordered with a braided cord
• Base and stem: black lacquered iron
• Manufacturing: handmade, each piece is unique

From afar, a light-colored knot on a golden background; up close, two seashell scales. This disc plays with distance and truly comes into its own in an entryway or at the end of a hallway, where one passes by and stops. It adds a bohemian touch to a light-toned interior with natural fibers, and works well grouped with other pedestal-mounted pieces of different sizes to create a set.

What you need to know for installation and maintenance:

• Installation: upright on its base, on a console table, a shelf, or a mantelpiece
• Handling: do not grab it by the edge and do not lean on it; the disc is hollow
• Dusting: very soft brush, following the spiral, never across it
• To avoid: any cloth or textile; a pulled thread will undo several centimeters of rows
• Indoor use
