Isey rectangular openwork seagrass placemat 50x30 cm

Key measurements, given that it is sold individually:

• Dimensions: 50 x 30 cm
• Shape: rectangular, fringes on both short sides
• Weight: 20 g
• Sold individually
• Package: 50 x 30 x 2 cm

What gives it its weave and lightness:

• Material: fine-spun sea grass, hand-woven
• Wide, crochet-style openwork weave, you can see the table through it
• Twisted fringes knotted one by one on the two short sides
• Color: natural, with variations in tone and tightness from one piece to another
• Raw fibers worked by hand

An openwork placemat doesn't place an opaque rectangle on the table: it outlines the setting and lets the tabletop show through. It is the most discreet solution for beautiful wood, stone, or polished concrete, and the natural tone of the fiber harmonizes with stoneware, teak, and smoked glass. The fringes add the subtle touch of movement that a bare table lacks.

How to use and maintain it:

• One set per guest, sized for a large plate and cutlery
• Easily portable outdoors; weight it down at the slightest breeze
• The mesh allows crumbs and liquids to pass through
• Store in a dry or well-ventilated area; seagrass is sensitive to humidity
• Store flat
