What makes its glaze and its appeal:

• Material: thick glazed ceramic, glazed piece by piece
• Gradient glaze, speckled amber brown under the rim, slate gray towards the foot
• Almost black and glossy interior base, speckled light band under the rim
• Shape: almost straight walls that narrow slightly towards the rim, rounded heel, flat base
• Glaze removed from the lip, edge darker and slightly rough
• More pronounced drips on the upper wall of the 16 cm diameter piece

It’s the straight sides that make all the difference: where a rounded bowl spreads out, this one rises, and two or three lined up on a board create a small piece of architecture. Its dark base highlights noodles, pale grains, and fresh herbs, and its neutral tones harmonize with wood, linen, and stoneware.

What you need to know for serving and care:

• Uses for the ø 12 cm: yogurt, porridge, soup, fruit
• Uses for the ø 16 cm: noodles, poke, salad, side dishes to share
• Avoid sudden temperature changes, as the enamel may develop fine crackling
• Rinse the rim first, as the edge is porous
• Do not let coffee or tea dry on the lip
• Hand wash
• Dishwasher and microwave: no instructions provided
