Terracotta lidded pot blackened by fire

Key measurements for finding the right location:

• H 8 cm: 10 cm wide including lugs, 0.32 kg
• H 9 cm: 11 cm wide including lugs, 0.51 kg
• H 14 cm: 15 cm wide including lugs, 0.70 kg

Everything you need to know about the material:

• Material: unglazed terracotta, blackened by smoke firing
• Lid included, hand-modeled horn knob, simply set in place
• Two side lugs serving as handles
• Brown and copper clouds, metallic luster obtained through burnishing
• The 8 cm is almost monochrome, the 9 cm has the most pronounced copper luster
• Microwave and oven safe as indicated by the manufacturer for the 8 and 9 cm sizes

The two pointed lugs give this pot a silhouette that is recognizable from afar, somewhere between an antique cooking pot and a sculpture. It works placed on a table as a centerpiece, with nothing inside.

What you need to know for installation and maintenance:

• No harsh detergents or abrasive sponges on the burnished finish
• Fingerprints remain visible on such a dark surface
• Lift by the lugs, never by the lid
• Hand wash with mild soap and dry thoroughly
• The lid is set on top; it does not seal hermetically
