Natural stoneware Sumba bust 9 cm

Key measurements to find its place:

• Height: 9 cm
• Weight: 0.82 kg
• Placement: directly on its flat base, without a stand
• Package: 12 x 9 x 10 cm

What gives it its material and appearance:

• Material: hand-carved sandstone
• Face: circled eyes, raised nose, linear mouth, distinct ears
• Body: belted with a row of saw-teeth and a ridge
• Appearance: light stone, sometimes patinated with grey and green areas
• Manufacturing: each statue is unique, the carving details vary from one piece to another

Small and dense, this bust asserts itself through its material rather than its size, like a remarkable pebble brought back from a walk. It holds its place on a desk or nightstand, within reach, and pairs easily with other Sumba pieces. Its raw stoneware complements wood, plaster, and earth tones.

Where to place it and how to care for it:

• Uses: desk, shelf, or bedside table, alone or in a group
• Patinated stone: never brush, the patina would come off in patches
• Dust only with a very soft brush
• No water or products
• Indoor use
