What gives it its texture and relief:

• Color: natural
• Hand-crocheted center, spiraling from the middle
• Crown of large knots holding a dense, radiant fringe
• Handmade: color and braiding vary slightly from one piece to another

Placed alone in the center of a table, this placemat evokes a sun and can be admired as a decorative object. At each place setting, it defines a bohemian table, which raw wood, stoneware, and teak naturally complement.

What you need to know to keep it looking beautiful:

• Uses: placemat, centerpiece, small dish stand for a coffee table
• This is not a trivet
• Allow for space: two placemats side by side will touch on a standard-width table
• Fringe: brush it against the grain with a wide-toothed comb, without straightening it
• Cleaning: dry, with a soft dry cloth, never with water
