Comptez environ 60 cm de largeur par convive et gardez au moins 90 cm autour de la table pour circuler et reculer les chaises. Une table de 160 cm accueille six personnes, une table de 200 cm en reçoit huit à l'aise.

Une table basse est plus agréable à la même hauteur que l'assise du canapé, ou légèrement en dessous, souvent autour de 40 cm. Laissez environ 40 cm entre le canapé et la table pour poser les jambes tout en gardant les objets à portée.

La table rectangulaire structure une pièce allongée et accueille du monde. La ronde, plus conviviale, fluidifie la circulation dans un espace carré ou restreint. La table ovale offre un compromis : de la place sans les angles, agréable dans les passages étroits.

La console habille une entrée, un couloir ou l'arrière d'un canapé sans empiéter sur le passage grâce à sa faible profondeur. Elle accueille une lampe, un miroir ou quelques objets, et fait la transition entre deux espaces tout en offrant un rangement discret.

Some come with a practical nesting top, perfect for entertaining.

Dining Tables

The dining table brings family and friends together. Sizes for 4 to 10 guests, in solid wood for robustness and character, or in ceramic or glass for a contemporary look. Consider extension models if you often entertain.

Side Tables and Consoles

Small in size, big in utility: a side table holds a lamp or a coffee without cluttering, a console dresses up an entryway or the back of a sofa. In wood, gilded metal, or ceramic, they fit anywhere.

Desks

A desk is a workspace, and it should be chosen as such: a top deep enough for a screen and an open notebook side-by-side, a height of around 75 cm, and a design that can be permanently on display in a living area. In a small space, a deep console or a tall side table can serve the same purpose while taking up less room, and return to being ordinary furniture in the evening.

Which table for which room?

For a living room, aim for a coffee table at the height of the sofa's seat, approximately 40 cm. For the dining room, allow 60 cm width per guest. Match your table to your chairs and create a cohesive living room or dining room.
