Description
Mounted on the wall, the sconce casts two streaks of light, one towards the ceiling and the other towards the floor: its fluted cylinders are open at both ends, and it is the wall that is illuminated, not the source. This grazing light brings out the texture of a wall and adds depth to a hallway, an entryway, or a headboard. Bulbs are not included, and it is with them that the tone and intensity of the lighting are determined.

Style and Decoration +

The fluting gives the wall lamp its character: a regular relief that catches the light and breaks the flatness of a plain wall. Its low and wide silhouette fits where a bulky fixture wouldn't, on a narrow section of wall, between two doors, above a console, or on either side of a bed. The design remains modern and fits just as well into a contemporary interior as it does a Scandinavian or minimalist decor.

Assembly and Maintenance +

The installation is done on the wall, using an existing electrical outlet:

  • Mounting: oval plate screwed to the wall using two metal brackets and four wall plugs
  • Turn off the power at the breaker panel before starting any work
  • Connect the neutral and live wires to the two-terminal block
  • Connect the earth wire to the wall light's earth screw
  • Install the G9 bulbs before turning the power back on
  • Keep a section of the wall clear above and below, as the light shines in both directions
  • For indoor use only, away from water splashes
