• 35 x 23 cm: 8 cm high, 1.6 kg, for six people
• Shape: rectangular with rounded corners, two handles at the ends
• Storage: the three sizes stack inside each other

What gives it its structure and character:

• Material: glazed stoneware, food-safe
• Glaze: crackled and speckled, greyish-green, dark brown rim on the edge
• Craftsmanship: handmade, the crackle pattern varies from one piece to another
• Color: it can vary from brown to deep blue, including green, depending on the material and firing
• Durability: stoneware designed to be chip-resistant

Its grayish-green color competes with nothing: it gives way to what it holds, a golden gratin or roasted vegetables, and comes straight out of the oven to be set as is in the middle of the table. The brown rim and the two handles give it the look of country dinnerware, at home on a raw wood table, with linen and fresh herbs. The three sizes, placed together, make up a complete set for a meal to share.

What it can withstand, and how to keep it for a long time:

• Oven, microwave, and dishwasher: yes
• Coming out of the oven: place it on a trivet, never on a cold stone
• Before washing: let it cool down to avoid thermal shock
• Cracks: soaking in lukewarm water after serving limits stains from turmeric, cooked tomato, or red wine, and leftovers should not be left in it overnight
• Hand washing: lukewarm water and a non-abrasive sponge, without harsh detergents
• Storage: flat, or a tea towel placed between stacked dishes
