What it is made of and what makes each piece unique:

• Material: glazed ceramic
• Glaze: reactive and textured, pale grey corolla veined with raised reddish-brown
• Edges: wavy, raised corners, brown rim
• Underside: glossy dark brown glazed, on a square base
• Manufacturing: glazed piece by piece, nuances unique to each plate

This shape changes a table: placed on a raw wood surface or a linen tablecloth, the square plate breaks the alignment of round ones and gives the impression of a place setting that has been composed rather than just laid out. Its gray-brown palette harmonizes with stone, wood, and glass, from fluted glass to a tinted glass vase. Keep the large size in the center and plain plates around it: the pattern retains all of its presence.

What you need to know for use and care:

• Uses: starter or toast on the 21 cm side, main course on the 25 cm side, sharing platter, cheese or charcuterie on the 30 cm side
• Rinse immediately: fine surface cracks may become stained
• Hand wash with warm water and a soft sponge
• Large formats: wash flat on the countertop, never upright against the sink wall
• Raised corners, where the enamel is thinnest: protect from impacts
