Les assiettes en grès passent-elles au lave-vaisselle ?
Oui. Notre grès à glaçure réactive est compatible lave-vaisselle en programme standard et micro-ondes sans métal, et il est approuvé pour le contact alimentaire. Glissez un linge doux entre les assiettes empilées pour préserver la glaçure au rangement.
Peut-on laver les pièces en teck massif au lave-vaisselle ?
Non. Aucun passage au lave-vaisselle n'est documenté par le fabricant pour le teck. Passez un chiffon à peine humide, sans jamais immerger la pièce, et huilez-la deux fois par an pour garder le fil du bois serré. Évitez aussi d'y poser un plat sortant du four.
Combien de pièces prévoir pour une table de quatre ?
Comptez quatre assiettes plates, quatre assiettes à déjeuner et quatre bols, puis les verres par famille : quatre pour l'eau, quatre pour le vin. Nos sets de quatre couvrent une tablée d'un seul achat, ce qui évite les dépareillages involontaires.
Pourquoi deux assiettes de la même référence ne sont-elles pas identiques ?

Comment composer une table sans que ça jure ?
Choisissez une matière dominante, ajoutez-en une seconde, et tenez-vous-y. Le grès mat et le verre soufflé s'accordent presque toujours ; le teck se réserve aux pièces de service. Les couleurs se jouent ensuite sur le linge de table et les dessous-de-verre, plus faciles à changer que la vaisselle.

Plates and Bowls: The Everyday Essentials
These are the pieces handled most often and subjected to the most wear and tear. Stoneware is ideal here: thicker and more resistant than fine porcelain, it's dishwasher-safe on a standard cycle and microwave-safe. Our reactive glaze stoneware plates feature variations in shade and texture unique to each piece, with a slight curve to hold sauces. Sets of four allow you to equip a table quickly and can be supplemented as needed.
Glasses, Carafes, and the Art of Water Service
Glass is the most represented material in this section. Water glasses, tumblers, highball glasses, wine glasses, whisky or cocktail glasses, flutes, and carafes: the range covers both everyday use and more formal meals. A simple tip for flawless composition: stick to one family of glasses for water and wine, and allow yourself a more distinctive piece for aperitifs. This contrast creates the impression of a thoughtfully set table.
Cutlery and Small Pieces That Make All the Difference
Spoons, forks, cheese knives, coffee and dessert spoons, but also everything that sits between the plates: napkin rings, place card holders, coasters, trivets, salt and pepper shakers, cutlery rests. These are the least expensive items in the range and make the biggest visual difference. A bare table with six raffia napkin rings tells a more compelling story than a table cluttered with unrelated objects.
Placemats hold a special place. Placed on a bare wooden table, they define each setting without covering the tabletop and replace a tablecloth when you want to see the table's material. Made of braided fibers, they add a texture that tableware alone doesn't provide, and they store in a stack rather than requiring machine washing. This is the simplest solution for an effortlessly set weekday meal. Brass plays a similar role for cutlery and small pieces: a few touches are enough to warm up a table dominated by matte stoneware and glass.
Stoneware, Glass, and Teak Have Different Care Requirements
This is where a table can go wrong, and it's worth being clear.
- Stoneware is dishwasher-safe on a standard cycle and microwave-safe (without metal). It's the most tolerant material in the range.
- Glass is easy to wash but benefits from being stored so that the bases don't touch.
- Solid teak requires the most attention: a slightly damp cloth, never immersion, no dishwasher use documented by the manufacturer, and oiling twice a year to keep the wood grain tight. In return, it develops a patina instead of wearing out.
Our teak pieces are hand-carved, with a slightly asymmetrical edge because the carving follows the wood grain. No two plates are ever exactly alike.
Setting a Table Without Overdoing It
Start with one dominant material, add a second, and stop there. Matte stoneware and blown glass almost always work together; teak is best used for serving pieces rather than everyday plates. Textiles do the rest: an unironed washed linen tablecloth and two matching napkins are enough to transform a room. Which Plates to Choose for Everyday Use?
Aim for stoneware rather than fine porcelain, and a diameter of around 25 to 27 cm for dinner plates. Plan for a minimum of four pieces per size, six if you entertain regularly, and choose a neutral shade that you can enliven with colored coasters or napkins. For starters and desserts, a smaller lunch plate avoids buying a third size. The rest of the table can then be built up over time, without anything clashing.
